My charge 2 is showing annoying messages such as 'right foot, left foot', 'hi friend' ,'how you doin' when I'm taking the device off charge or picking it up from not wearing it.
However now it is also doing it while I'm wearing the watch and asleep, which it shouldn't be doing. I want to turn this off but there is no option to turn chatter or greeting off on the app, or on the Fitbit website.
The battery charge on the device is also not lasting very long anymore.

Hello @AishaJo321 thanks for bringing this to me. Let me first give you a warm welcome to our Community, I'm glad to help you out. My apologies for the delayed reply.
Let me share with you that the notifications you're receiving are usually shown when the Charge 2 was inactive for a long time, this is a expected behavior from all our Fitbit devices. However, if you're receiving these type of notifications while you're asleep, it could be that your device though that you woke up, reason why the notification was received. Therefore, I recommend you to change the sleep sensitivity on your device. To do so, please check: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting? and let me know how it goes.
In regards your battery concern, out Charge 2 was designed to last 5 days but the battery life also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. That said, I recommend charging your device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall, then turn off all the features that you don’t use and check this help article for more tips and recommendations. Your can also try restarting your device to refresh it’s performance.
Keep me posted, I’ll be right here if you need anything else.
