while cycling, the tracker is losing connection hence end of ride results are not logged accurately and have to re-enter manually while losing valuable data. Annoying not knowing if metrics are recorded while focusing on ride. Can anyone elucidate on the correct way to sync up and maintain thorough-out ride?

Thanks for stopping by @samoht, hope you're doing great! This is something that some of our Charge 2 users are currently experience with the connected GPS, but don't worry as our engineers are already aware of the problem and are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. Please be guided that this issue relates to our Fitbit app and rest assured that your tracker is working the way it should be.
By any chance, have you been pausing you bike activity? This usually happens after pausing the exercise.
While our team is doing the best to improve your overall experience with the app, please continue to use the connected GPS when needed and observe if there will be changes through time. Kindly wait for our updates as these will fix issues and provide improvements to our app service as well as with your tracker's performance.
I appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

Hello,
Bike activity was working fine till 2017 but in 2018 fitbit is not tracking cycling accurately. I don't pause the activity as mentioned. Is there any estimate for the fix?

Is this bug ever getting fixed? I see the solution was posted on 08-19-2017 and I am still having this problem in 2018! Please let me know if there is anything being done to fix this issue

This is the year 2020. I still have this problem with my Charge 3. Not sure this problem will be resolved by the end of this decade, or I should opt to a device with built in GPS. I used to cycle a lot, losing conneciton intermittently really bothered me.
