After the last software update, my charge2 is not recording the sleep cycles but is recording my heart rate. I'm doing everything the same as before and followed the online suggestions for sleep tracking. I tried the online chat and they said it was not the software and had me reset the watch (even though it stopped the day I updated the app. Still does not work. I intentionally did not update my iPhone to IOS13 until they get the bugs out so I doubt that's it.

Hello @BigGuy1, welcome to the Community Forums! It's a pleasure to assist you today, sorry for the delayed reply.
Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for troubleshooting your device prior to posting too, I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this and how many times since then?
There are a few scenarios where you might see your sleep pattern (which shows your time asleep, restless, and awake) instead of sleep stages, find them as follows:
Looking forward to your reply, let me know if you have any additional questions.

I reviewed some earlier posts and saw that if you change the heart rate from automatic to ion it might solve the problem. I did that and it’s working fine. I see today there’s another update to the app so perhaps they fixed it.

I had this problem immediately after an update on 24th July. Fitbit support tried to solve it but it still didn't record my sleep stages. On 4th December, I went into fitbit.com and had a look at my settings. There had been no issue in recording my heart rate throughout the night. I changed the minimum and maximum heart rates to 30 and 220 - the available limits. So far, apart from one night when I stayed up to watch the UK election results and only got 2 hours sleep in, it has recorded my sleep patterns correctly for 12 consecutive days. I adjusted my partner's Charge 2 a few days ago and, so far, his is good too.

My sleep stages have not been showing for a few months, only sleep patterns (again after a software upgrade - strange how often these seem to mess things up). I will give this a go and see if it works. Hopefully it will fix the issue. Weirdly after the software upgrade a few months ago when the sleep stages stopped working, I got a single random sleep stages result but only several days later (switching from sleep pattern to sleep stages). Whole thing has been acting up for a while though, not being able to find the device every time I tried to sync.
