Hello, I today ran 3.5 miles according to my car, google fit and google maps.
My time was 34minutes so roughly 10mins a mile. Which is standard for me.
Yet my fitbit says I ran 2.7miles.
Stride length factor I am 5,7 Male, short 33 stride length I have entered.
Also, being 5,7 tall medium activity aday, calorie calculator states I should be eating 2,300 to 2,500 calories a day to maintain weight in 24 hours.
So i need to eat 1800 calories a day those 1lb a week.
Yet my fit bit seems to think I burn 3000 to sometimes 4000 calories a day hahaha. I could eat pizza for breakfast dinner and tea and lose weight according to fitbit haha. Obviously i don't i eat 1800 calories 5 days a week.
Fit bit doesnt seem very good at all, accept steps.

Sounds right to me for a male.
The calories burned are BMR calories. Your fitbit also calculates calories burned for your BMR. You burn calories just by being alive! Even Sleeping. Fitbit includes these burned calories in it's calorie calculations, so even if you did not wear the fitbit, you'll still burn these calories.

Why is the universal calories intake for men 2500 a day on average and 2000 calories a day for women in 24 hours?
If I was burning 3000 to 4000 calories a day, and I've been eating 2000 calories and under a day I would be as skinny as hell. Maybe not able to function.
Plus the distance is out about .5 of mile in every two miles.
Steps seem to be okay and sync with google maps steps. That's it.
My android phone with google fit seems far better than a FitBit.
