I purchased a Fitbit Charge 4 and pressing the physical button on the side worked for a while until I cut my nails. After that, I can never press the button. I tried my best to dig my finger in the button area but it still won't press and now I can't navigate properly. I'm not sure if my device is defective or if the Charge 4 is designed to be used with longer nails which is pretty silly!

The button is touch sensitive you do
not need to dig your nails into it - a light press with your finger tip is sufficient.

@Severuss @MLTBuderim Nice to see you both here. Thank you for sharing your experiences.
@Reaper6 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.
As stated by our friends above, you don't need either long or short nails to use the Charge 4.
For better results we recommend to use button with dry fingers.
Hope this helps you further.
