My Charge2 and Charge3 both have dropped steps when I manually add exercise. It usually recognizes when I go for a walk, for example, but sometimes, it doesn't so I add a walk and my overall steps go WAY down. When I add yoga or aerobics, this doesn't happen. Only when I add a walk. Does anyone else have this happen? Any resolution??
(I've never done the thing where you start the tracker at the beginning of your exercise and then turn it off - I count on it to recognize my exercise or just add it manually afterwards.)

When you manually log an exercise afterward, what you log overrides whatever data was actually recorded during that time. It that causes your steps to drop, likely whatever parameters you input for your walk came to fewer steps than it had actually recorded.
You could avoid that situation completely and never have to manually log a workout if you started using the Exercise App, also get more accurate measurements for aerobics or yoga, using actual recorded data rather than whatever parameters you choose to input.
