Since the latest app update (early 2024) when I’m logging exercise, if I background the app during the workout or walk, for example to change the music or respond to a text and return to the app, I often find that the timer is still going, but the tracker (distance traveled and GPS) haven’t updated. The map then tries to compensate for the lost data. I use an iPhone 15 and Charge 4. I have changed that the app always knows location (not just when I’m using the app)

@ShyC GPS dropouts can be caused by several things (tall buildings, trees, overcast, etc.). Please make sure to check this article for tips on managing your GPS connection.

It's a track. At a high school. No trees. Mobile GPS works. Fitbit does not since update. Fitbit is charged over 80% have restarted phone. Still does not work

Yes I sought help from customer support but the troubleshooting steps didn’t help and I wanted to see if others had the sane issue.
I think that perhaps the app isn’t any good at tracking exercise anymore and I should just do it through the device. Device tracked exercise shows a whole lot more data than the app initiated workouts now.

I have done it on my fitbit (walking) exercise and the GPS quits. That's where my issue lies. I don't get it either. I've tried the steps and none of it helped. Glad I'm not alone.
