Export sleep stage data

Hi there, I'd like to know if I could export data relating to what time I was in a given sleep stage. I'm trying to do a research experiment with some machine learning and to know what times of the night I was in deep sleep (say 1.30-1.50), that would help a great deal in what I'm trying to accomplish, thanks!

Hi there @anthony_m. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

You can definitely export your sleep data to your computer in either CSV or XLS files. This includes sleep data such as time asleep, sleep quality, and time spent in light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep.

For that, from your online dashboard, click on the gear icon at the top right corner. From there, go to Settings. Then, on the column that you'll find to the left side, you'll see "Data Export" and here you will be able to choose what data you want to export and the period you want it for. Choose the format and then, click on Download. You should then have your file saved to your computer.

Hope this helps and anything else, let me know!

@FerdinandFitbit -- I'm not seeing Sleep Stages in the Zip files produced when I use the new data export functionality. Am I missing something?

I also wanted to export my sleep stage data. Specifically a table that consists of a timestamp with the sleep stage. Any advice?

Currently the data exports only the cumulative time spent in each stage. However, to correlate to other devices we need the sleep stage data by timestamp.

Update: this data is available when you "Export Your Account Archive." The sleep stages are contained in the json files.
