Fitbit Charge 3 Blank screen -have tried everything

I'm really very upset and disappointed. I went to bed with a working Fitbit Charge 3 and woke up to a completely blank screen. I have had it about 18 months I think. After a year I already had to replace the strap (not cheap) and now it's toast. 

 

Things I have tried: I did the clock face change......nothing.

I tried the reset......no smiley face......nothing.

I let the battery completely run down then fully recharged......nothing........tried the reset again......nothing.

I tried to see if the software was up to date.........there is no software version listed and also no update option.

I can't check the Fitbit for version as it's blank.

This has been going on for a couple of weeks......

 

Today I tried removing it from my app thinking to resync it and see if that helps. Guess what? I can not add a new device because the screen is blank so I can't see the code for bluetooth connect.

 

Very very frustrating.

 

This device was not cheap but clearly is faulty. My question is.......FITBIT - what are you going to do about it?

I have been facing similar problems since few months now.Screen is blank it vibrates once connected to charging cradle but screen doesnt light up at all?How do I resolve this ?It was purchased barely a year back from London UK & at present I am in Mumbai India.

No amount of feedback will change the fact that I still have a Charge3 with a dead display and zero replacement options.

my Fitbit charge 3 is doing nothing at all, I tried the restart procedure as well, is does nothing after that as well.

The screen on my charge 3 has gone blank also. I have followed all instructions to reset but nothing has worked. My charge was only purchased 7 months ago, very disappointed customer here!

Wow! I’ve come on here to see if anyone else has this problem and seems like there is loads! Mine was given to me as a gift and at first the screen was so bright! It began a few weekend ago and the screen was very dim, then the screen begun pixelating and now I see nothing! I have also tried the long resets and nothing has worked 😞

OK- Just tried playing around again with my charge 3- something I might be getting good at! While I was trying to push the side button to reset I saw that the sleep/awake screen displayed and that it was in sleep mode.  I turned it back on to awake and solved the screen issue.  I hope that this helps someone else.  Not sure how to get to that screen as it no longer shows up when I swipe, but might when pressing the side button.

 

Still can't get my steps to show up n my app.  Will try to see if I can play around again and solve, unless someone else has a solution to share?

Thank you for all the info provided and the customer service also. I receive the option of replace it for the same model or a discount for a new one. (Other model) My fit bit has arrived and it work perfect. Thanks!

I had the same problem ... right after the warranty expired. I contacted customer support, and they took me through all the suggestions in the Best Answer here, but nothing worked. Then they checked my warranty. When they found it had expired, they said (because I live in Malaysia) that there’s no service center in my country. And that was it!

 

 So in other words, don’t bother buying a Fitbit if they can’t be bothered to set up a service center near you.

I tried what you suggested and now I can't see anything on my Fitbit. 

From what I am seeing this is a big problem with the charge 3

I would like to talk to customer support, too. My screen is completely dead now. Is it possible to get a new battery for these devices?

I’m having the same problem. My Charge 3 is about 20 months old. The screen started to get more dim about 2 months ago (changing the brightness did nothing). About a month ago, all notifications stopped. Then last week the screen went black; however, the device still records info to send to the app. I’ve tried all the fixes I’ve found on the forum, but nothing has worked. Sadly, the screen is still blank.

hello my fitbit charge 3 has an black screen and cannot do anything what could you help me with i cannot pair it to the app i woke up and its on but there is no screen sir what could you really help me with his matter
