Fitbit Charge 3 Dead

I have been a Fitbit owner since the beginning of Fitbit.  As soon as I heard of it, I was invested.  I started with a zip, moved to a one, then a Blaze and finally a Charge 3.  I bought my Charge 3 new - it was a gift from my husband.  From the beginning, it has a problem.  Funny thing is, I returned a Versa because it wasn't counting stairs properly and replaced it with the Charge 3 because I wanted to further challenge myself.  Sadly enough, it became apparent right away that stairs was not going to be a thing for me.  It counted stairs all day when I wasn't going up any.  Now, I have been in high winds and it increased stairs for me on the Zip and One, but this is when I am in the house.  When I wake up in the morning, I already have 2 flights of stairs recorded for me.  I have no idea what it is counting - but stairs just aren't it.  As I've said, I've been a customer of Fitbit for quite some time now so I have tried to be forgiving over the years.  Sadly though, for a while my fitbit started turning the screen black and wouldn't respond but I just waited patiently and sooner or later it would start showing up again.  That was until a week or so ago when all of a sudden it stopped taking my sleep stats.  I thought it was just that my band was not tight enough, but it happened another night and then I realized that the heart rate monitor was no longer working.  I reset the watch and no change.  The option for heart rate was selected on the watch yet it was not working.  I was sad enough then, because this information is important to me - isn't that why we buy the watch?  A day or so later and then the battery seemed to go bonkers.  I charged it at night and the next day it was saying it needed to be charged again.  I charged it that night and by the next afternoon I was already at 6% battery and falling fast.  Right now, it won't even charge.  I have no idea what is wrong with my Fitbit, but I have seen over the years a decreasing care for quality when it comes to the product and this is incredibly disheartening.  I love my Fitbit products and each member of my family (4 children) have one.  My husband used to have one but he grew tired of the issues and moved to Garmin.  It lines up with the type of workouts he does anyway but other products don't properly meet my needs like a Fitbit.  I have to say that I am incredibly saddened that Fitbit does not stand up for its products like it should (warranty is seriously lacking) and new products come out that have the same issues old ones do.  Truthfully, I went back and started using my old Zip and it is still working - the only problem is that it does not sync.  At some point, returning customers will decide to go elsewhere - it's just sad that we have to make that choice.
