Fitbit Charge 4 band connector broke

I received a Charge 4 as a gift and it lasted 15 months . The software no longer worked. I never heard back from the warranty team. I was scheduled to have a surgery and did not want to be without one so I purchased another on Amazon unfortunately from an unauthorized reseller so Fitbit will not warranty the item and give me a replacement.  The band connector completely snapped off the device. These are expensive and I cannot afford to by one every year and nor would I want to at this point. I must say the customer service person I talked to was very responsive and sent me an email right after our chat to follow up. Unfortunately my experience with the actual Fitbit was 100% bad. From my experience I would not recommend anyone buy a Fitbit due to the horrible quality.

@Odyssey13 Thanks for your input and advice.

@TiffanyMarieM Hello there. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with the Charge 4 and the support team.

I apologize for the inconveniences caused. In this case I recommend you claim the warranty on your original device, since that I assume you got from an authorized reseller. I would contact support again to see what they can do about it. The product mentioned by @Odyssey13 is also a great alternative in case you want to keep on using the old device.

Hi @TiffanyMarieM  many with this problem have gone to Amazon and purchased a "protective cover band for Charge 4" which allows you to use the pebble portion. The band completely encompasses the pebble portion and lets you keep using it. There are several sellers and from what I've seen, the cost is under $23. Might be worth checking it out.
