Fitbit display cover cracks

My fitbit has developed a crack that is on both sides of the display (the "long" axis of the fitbit).  I told my wife about the cracks and she showed me her fitbit charge hr and it has the same cracks.  If I purchase a new fitbit will the same craks appear on the display face or has this problem been fixed?

The materials improve with each new tracker so I would say cracks are unlikely under normal usage. The features have vastly improved since Charge HR as well.

So will the Charge 4 cover crack like it did for the Charge HR? Also, how
many Charge HR fitbits have had cracks in the display cover?
