Frozen Charge 2

So I had left my house with out my Fitbit because I had forgotten to charge it. When I got back 2 hours later I found a strap broken off. Then an hour later another one cut. Still the actual electronic part of it wasn’t found until 2 hours after I got home. It was frozen in a ice cube. My eight year old nephew decided to make a trophy. I left it in rice for 12 hours but now it’s turning things on and off by it’s self like the stopwatch and notifications. I’m not sure if I should leave it in rice longer or buy a new one? I know a lot of people go swimming with them but I don’t think an ice cube is the same thing ... thank you if anyone does see this and replies.

Oh my goodness! Frozen Fitbit. For certain, you will want to keep it in the rice for at least 24 to 48 hours. Don't charge it until you've gotten all the moisture out. Your nephew cut the band? These devices can't handle the extreme cold, in fact, the environmental information lists four degrees below zero as the non-functioning temperature. Your freezer is probably negative thirty-eight degree or so. Anyway, let it dry out, clean all contact points and charge it, then do a few restarts. Let us know what happens.
