How to setup a new Fitbit device?

I have just bought a new fit bit and want to give my old one to my mother, how do I set this up, it won’t let me switch the charge 2 to my mum, someone please help!! I need simple steps of how to do it please

First thing is to remove it from your account.

Computer: On the dashboard go to settings. Once there scroll to bottom of the page it you will see where to remove it.

Phone. Tap on the device name and you will see a trash can. Tap that to remove it.

Go to your phone and remove it from your Blue Tooth devices

Remove any other fitbit devices  away from what you are trying to set it up with they interfere to each other
