Hi, since lockdown I've noticed the floor count on my fitbit is really inaccurate. I've been increasing my incidental exercise by doing things like running up and down the stairs 5 times several times a day. Today my fitbit says I've done 5 floors but I have done 2 sets of running up and down the stairs 5 times and I've been up and down the stairs other times in normally daily activity. Is this a known issue? Also steps are not counted when you are pushing a trolley round a supermarket. I can kind of understand this as your arm is still whilst pushing but disappointing not to have quite a lot of steps counted when exercise is limited whilst we can't go to the gym etc.
PS I have a charge 3

My issue is the opposite. While I, too, have been doing floors, I've given up worrying about the count on my fitbit. Have not done any floors today, but my fitbit says I've done ten. I think it's something to do with air pressure? Basically, I've just given up on this particular feature. It is meaningless. My partner has the same issue. His watch currently says three and he's done none.

Thanks, it's annoying though. Since we're stuck in it gives you something to work towards if you know you are doing x amount of steps, floors etc. I had a fitbit one before, one of those clip on things and that seemed to count floors accurately and steps pushing a shopping trolley etc.

Some added encouragement: we are fortunate to live in a fairly spacious apartment so have realized we can get in 13000 to 15000 steps a day just walking and jogging around our apartment. We are wearing down the carpet but it is doable. I try to do ten minutes of jogging every hour followed by a few weights. In this, my Fitbit is a helpful nag. Keep up the distancing fitness!
