Is my fitbit bricked?

My fitbit was interupted mid update.  The screen comes up with the date, step count and an update line that appears to be about 80% complete.  I can push the button and get either a vibration or this screen.  I've tried Rebooting and resetting without any success.  I read that disassociating the device from my account and reinstalling might help.  The phone finds the ftbit but can't complete the setup due to needint a four digit code.  With the screen frozen no code shows up.  The fitbit will vibrate but I can't go any fruther.  Is there a generic code to get past this and hopefully be able to reconnect and restart or complete the update?

There is not a generic code. Your Best bet is to contact support. Use the help link at the top of the forum

I tried the help desk and their suggestion was to let the battery completely discharge and see if the device would reset.  That means waiting at least a week for the darned thing to discharge.  Has anyone tried this for a fix?
