New Charge 3 screen and setup issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have gone thru the set up process for my brand new Charge 3 twice.  After doing it the first time and just having a black screen with one horizontal line across the screen, I followed suggestions from this forum and did a 15 second reset and went thru the entire set up process again.  On "My Charge 3" it shows my clockface as being completely white.  I have tried changing it to one of the other clocks and it just sits there without being able to complete the process. As of now, my Dashboard shows it as synced and fully charged and my screen is black with one horizontal white line.  Please help.

Hi @Squeakrcat1225, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Charge 3 since the screen only shows a horizontal line across and the setup process can't be completed. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

Please try a regular restart as described in this help article. After this, try the setup process again and see if the horizontal line disappears.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Good Afternoon,

No, I have not had any luck. I have done both recommended suggestions multiple times and the Fitbit screen remains blank with just the horizontal line dividing the screen in half. Both my phone and laptop recognize the Fitbit, the battery indicator shows when I snap the Fitbit into the charger, and I did have the “unhappy” face show up when the battery is low, but nothing else. The screen is blank. I press the button on the side and nothing happens, I swipe the screen and nothing happens. I have gone thru the entire restart and reinstall process 7-8 times. I will likely return it to the store I purchased this week and not bother with it any longer. Never had an issue like this with previous Fitbits. I have no more patience with this thing.

Thanks.
