Notification service not running-Charge 3

I've had my Fitbit Charge 3 for about 3 months and I've had so many issue with the useless Fitbit app, it's so annoying! 

 

I'm getting the "notification service not running" issue again. Is this linked to Android 10? My other half has never had this issue but has an old phone using Android 9.0. I've had this issue twice now and restarting the phone doesn't fix it. Clearing the app data and reinstalling it is the only fix but I don't want to do that again.. Is there a proper fix coming for this? 

 

App isn't blocked from running in the background and has all the required permissions. I've checked and triple checked everything but still the notification service does not work. It's the 2nd time in as many weeks. I don't want to reinstall the app every fortnight. Maybe it's an issue with Huawei? I have a P30 Pro.
