Hi, I’ve had my Fitbit charge 2 since Christmas and over the last couple of days I’ve developed a red mark on my wrist. At the moment I’ve swapped wrists to give it a rest. I imagine it’s from moisture under the band from sweat and moisturiser. Wondering if getting the sports band would help or if i’d be better with a smaller band such as the Alta hr?

@laura257 Fitbit recommends cleaning your band with a soap free cleanser like Cetaphil. This might help. Also, make sure you are not wearing your tracker too tight. Try these suggestions.

I have encountered the same problem, but with both of my wrists.
I have tried everything from only wearing at night, to cleaning every few hours underneath.. and it hs not gotten better.
The red marks appear to be only on the areas that the band touches. I have wondered if it is the entire device messing with me or if there is something to stop this from happening.
I haven't even had the device 3 months and can't use it efficiently. It is quite disappointing considering how expensive these are.

Hi @JoAnnLozo and @Tbulmer! I have reached out to our support team and created a case regarding your inquiry. Someone will be reaching out to you within the next 24-72 hours with next steps.
Hey there @pat26! Sorry to hear about the inconvenience you have with your Charge 2 tracker. You might want to make sure that your wristband doesn't feel too tight and that it's snuggled enough for it to be comfortable to wear. Not too tight but not too floppy. However, I recommend taking it off and read our Wear and Care article, I also suggest to reach out our Support Team directly. I am sure they will go above and beyond to take care of this for you.

regarding my issue. I have followed all the wear care and even purchased
two new bands to make sure they are not too tight but still the mark was
quite prominent. The only thing that helped elevate the mark was removing
the Fitbit completely.

I had identical issues with the Fitbit 2. Complied with all the recommendations as far as not having the band tight, washing it often with mild soap like Cetaphil, giving it a rest, switching wrists, not showering in it. Fitbit was VERY cooperative, and was willing to refund my $, so I turned it in for a refund. I am pleased with their support, but now I have Fitbit "withdrawal" ! My mark from the Fitbit has reduced to a small brown discoloration after months of not having one on.
I REALLY miss having one and want to purchase another one with caution. I was ready to try the Fitbit Versa, but found the same feedback on it, as far as skin irritations in the same area. So I am not going to chance it.
Is there a Fitbit model out there that does not have reports of skin irritation under the sensors?

This morning I actually downloaded a walking app on my phone so I will see if that can get me motivated.
Good luck. Pat
