Hi All,
I assume the topic has been talked about tor ages.
I bought a Fitbit 5 but it's incompatible with my lifestyle.A
so I now have Fitbit 4 ( Much better)
I've had it 24 hours, Despite reading the manual, Net advice, YouTube I cannot get it to show the time by tapping the face. I've rebooted whilst connected to power source.
At present I have to push button on right,
Ideally i'd like to lift my hand, twist my wrist to view screen, I am disabled, So either would be great.

You probably accidentally have 'Screen Wake' turned off, or are in 'Sleep Mode'. Get to them both from 'Quick Settings' by holding in side button a few seconds.
From Charge 4 manual (pdf) :

Turning Sleep Mode off does not prevent sleep detection. 'Sleep Mode' has nothing to do with whether or not your sleep is recorded. What is does do is explained in the screen shot I included above. Basically it is to avoid interruptions while asleep, such as screen turning on from wrist turn.
You probably don't want 'Sleep Mode' on all the time. If you do want to use Sleep Mode to avoid night interruptions, you have 2 choices:
1) manually turn it on when you go to bed and likewise turn it off when you get up.
2) if you keep a regular sleep schedule, as described in screen shot above, you can set a schedule to automatically turn sleep mode on and off at set times.
Or if possibility of those sleep interruptions don't bother you (or maybe you want notifications to not miss emergency calls or texts), just leave Sleep Mode off all the time - that will not affect sleep detection and logging.

Thank you again,
Screen wake is on and sleep is off,
I now only hope I get more sleep than the minimum set out in the manual. ( Can you fix that )(Hahahaha)
Your advise/answers to me have been and are most appreciated.
My regards
Peter
