Step calibration

Hi. I’m new to Fitbit. Have a charge 2. It seems to be over counting my steps. When walking and looking at the screen the step count is faster than my actual steps. Is this normal. Do I need to calibrate my steps somehow.

Cheers.

The screen display does not always keep up exactly with the count, i.e. it might not appear to register some steps right away, but then add them back in a few seconds later.

The best way to check it is to go outside, or at least someplace you can walk a long straight line, note step count on C2, count off a number of steps as you take them without looking at the C2, swinging your arms normally, preferable at least 100 steps or more. Then stop and look at your C2 again to verify the step count.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

This really doesn't answer the question above. How do I gt the fitbit charge 2 to count properly/calibrate to properly count for me.
