Will the Charge 3 and Inspire  count steps without connecting to the smartphone GPS?  I don't have a smartphone....

Hi @Stavros2  you don't need a smartphone or a GPS to track your steps. You can do it with a computer or tablet. click to learn how.

Howdy! My Charge HR 2 shows my step count as I walk and can see
the amount all day long by just looking at the watch. Is that how the
Charge 3 and Inspire work, or do I need a computer or tablet to see
the step count?

You can see the daily steps, but not your historical data. If you use a computer or tablet, have your Fitbit set up, you can see what you did on any given day, week or month. There are benefits to having it linked up. If not, you have a fancy pedometer and nothing more.

Thanks! The way the ad is written it seemed like you had to have
a smartphone to get the step count. Since I don't have a smart phone,
and probably never will, that is an important distinction for me.
