Steps counter glitch

Along with displaying the wrong time on my Charge 2 there’s some kind of glitch with the steps some days it’s carrying over the extra steps from the day before and just now it had me over 11k steps then just before midnight it dropped me down to like 9,600 or something which I’m guessing would have ended my goal streak and I’ve tried every single thing suggested to di it but nothing has worked

Now that it’s midnight the steps say I’m already at 1,414 already so I don’t even know the amount of steps I’m actually at or what is going on with the Fitbit it seems like I can’t rely on what the steps counter is telling me

@Kurt0911   You and others mentioned living in British Columbia.  Is this time error related to BC's implementation of permanent DST?  There have been other incidents of regional ST/DST times changes and Fitbit/Google was slow in correcting their clock databases.  When this happened to others, the suggestion was to turn off automatic time zone and manually select a city with the correct time.

There is one other thing that concerns me about this issue.  The only reports like this are coming from Charge 2 users, an old legacy device.  Fitbit's Legacy Device Policy says that legacy devices might not run as smoothly as current models.

@Kurt0911   I don't know the answer to that question.  If a manual time zone correction doesn't work, then I recommend contacting Support, especially if the might be due to the permanent DST change.
