I am so disappointed in this fitbit. All the posting on a dim display say swipe left to change it...nope, swipe R.  Keeps dimming out though.  Battery change takes forever.  The old school I had before did not have those issues.

Have you tried restarting your Charge 4 for the swiping issue?

 

Regarding the battery, I'd recommend you to hace a look at this: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
