@mcohenm @kgalceran Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! To answer your question, the display will only turn on when you press the button or activate the "Quick View" feature, as my friend @kgalceran mentioned. The display has been designed this way in order to save battery. Take a look at this article, which contains the steps to have the Quick View feature setup.
However, you can submit your idea or suggestion through our "Feature Request" board and people who like the idea, can vote for it and the more votes your idea gets, the more chances will get to be implemented by our Engineering team.
Keep me posted if you have additional questions! ![]()

@fitdave2 Thanks for joining us and welcome to our Community! It seems that the suggestion hasn't been created yet. However, you can create it by clicking where it says "+New Idea", which is below the tab "Hot". These options can be found once you click on "Feature Suggestions" in my post above. Once you create it, people can start vote for it and regarding your question, just 1 vote is allowed per user.

Best AnswerHi can you get a screen protector or cover. I’m in the construction industry and it is going to be difficult to protect the screen on Fitbit.

@martcox I see that you just joined our Fitbit Community! Regarding your question, Fitbit doesn't official sell covers for Fitbit trackers. In order to avoid any damage to the tracker, I recommend keeping the tracker in your pocket. Although this doesn't guarantee that your activities will be tracked accurately, in this case you can go ahead and manually log the activity if you don't want to miss records of your activities during a construction duties.

@maryldoran, welcome to our Fitbit forums! I'm happy to assist you with your Charge HR since it's not displaying the time and date.
Please restart your Charge HR as described in this help article. This will refresh your tracker internally. After this, make sure that your tracker is fully charged and see if it turns on and displays the time and date properly.
Let me know how it goes! 😀
