Unable to sync Charge 2 with PC

Have used a Charge 2 Fitbit since July 2019 and use desktop to upload & sync data each day. Following Windows update about 2 weeks ago I have been unable to access the Fitbit app to upload data. I am able to log onto my wife's iPad to upload data each day.  Have uninstalled Fitbit app on my desktop and now reinstalled it but it does not load properly and does not respond. It can take several minutes to close window if i click on cross to close.  Do I just have to wait for next Windows update and hope that sorts out the problem?  Thanks Chris

First, I appreciate your effort and patience for troubleshooting this situation before posting, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your Windows 10 computer that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.

 

Then, you can move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?and let me know how it goes.

Hi Ricardo,

Thanks for the feedback last month. When I checked my desktop Bluetooth info I found my Fitbit Charge 2 showed as Paired but it has not been syncing data each day.
I have been able to log onto my wife's iPad each morning to update data and check sleep patterns from my Fitbit Charge 2.

Today I have removed the Charge 2 from the Bluetooth link and now find it does not reconnect although it shows as a device it can find.

I think I may need to look at getting a Fitbit dongle to plug into the PC. I will check if syncing returns again without dongle after we get the next Wendows update. It was odd that it has worked OK for me for almost a year until Windows did an updateone evening!
