I have a notice telling me there is an update available for my Fitbit. Also, a banner message appears that reads Device not found.

To better assist you with this, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using to try to update the firmware version of your Charge 2? I recommend you to learn more about how to update the firmware version of your Fitbit device with the information that's specified on this help article.
