Charge 4 Firmware - The continuous nag every time you open the App is a total PITA.  Switching off notifications for updates in setting does not stop it nagging.

I don't trust Fitbit or want the update so how to kill it, or is it a case of buy another brand device and say enough?

Hi there @PC60, it's good to have you in the Community.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and this information. I'd recommend you do the updates as many of those will allow you to use other features of the device and you can also vote for this Feature Suggestion as it fits your request.

Or add your own idea to the Feature Suggestion board and get votes for it so our team can consider it.

I still understand your concern and if in any case you have a problem, you can always reach out to the Community for help.

Sadly not the best answer as nobody has yet posted a proper fix for the firmware update that if you install it, it then wrecks your fitbit by destroying its life between charges.   So no  I just wish the stupid app didn't keep bleating about it as It is NOT safe to install.

Sadly you don't get the option to clear this thread as having a best answer.  The reply was total garbage and if the person thought anything they'd know that if you update firmware and the fitbit no longer holds charge you can't use anything on it.

There have been legal cases against fitbit that have been won for such practices and its obvious that Fitbit lie and delete such discussions on here.   Just using the device till it properly craps out then will buy another manufacturers product if I bother.  This place is not trustworthy.
