If your Fitbit Charge 3 is giving you a dead screen, but the green light on the back is still alight, try this method that has been tested and found to work to get your Charge 3 working again:
First of all make sure you are putting it in the charger correctly. You need to fully open the "clips" as wide as you can (it will still fit in if you don't open them wide enough but won't make the necessary connection).
Next, hold down the left "button" for around 8 seconds and, if all goes to plan, you should see a smiley face on the screen to tell you it's restarting. You can then release the "button".
*fingers crossed this works for you*

@seantnash I hope you're doing well! Thanks for taking the time to post this workaround that has helped you and other users in the past that have experienced a situation with a dead screen. Thanks for sharing your experience here.
I'm sure a lot of users will find this helpful if they happen to be experiencing the same. I will leave this link to a helpful article showing the restart steps as well.
Thanks again for sharing. See you around! ![]()

Did you ever get your fitbit working again. I have tried the restart over and over again, i keep getting the smiley face and nothing after 😞
The screen is just blank, and i just wondered if you managed to get yours working eventually?
Best AnswerThis does not work for me. Also tried the 15-second version and did not work. Tried changing clock faces and did not work. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling app, did not work. It’s recharged at 100%. I have had it for a year. Think I need to buy a new step counter watch.
