Active Zone Minutes

Recently updated from Inspire HR to Inspire 2 and deeply regret. Main issue is with relevance of active zone minutes. Previously I had to work hard to achieve target active minutes of 30 per day but now I'm clocking up in excess of 500 active zone minutes a week with very little effort! Useless metric. Also my resting heart rate appears to have dropped by 5-6bpm with new Fitbit. And the constant buzzing is driving me crazy. Going back to my old Inspire HR. Waste of money.

I discovered that my FitBit Inspire 2 bases my minutes of activity on my heartrate almost exclusively. That means if I have a strange moment where my heart starts racing for no apparent reason (hey, I'm over 60. It happens!), FitBit is counting that as exercise. That makes it harder to judge whether I'm getting the amount of exercise I intend to get.

I couldn't agree more! Active zone minutes on my Charge 4 is totally useless. As soon as I go for a brisk walk one day I have achieved the whole week's goal of 150 minutes. With my Charge 2 I at least had to go for a brisk walk every day to achieve my goal. I have no idea how I should set my goal now! I have used my new Charge 4 now for four days and already achieved 445 active minutes. And I didn't even do any exercise  at all on one of the four days.
