I'm having the same problem. It connects and syncs randomly.

I'm not sure what you mean @Holthaus and @BugsMom425?

Your phone can not connect to your trackers Bluetooth.

You need to use the Fitbit app to setup the tracker by doing an add device

My phones Bluetooth will NOT recognize the tracker. It was set up 100% and then I started having problems with syncing. Go into my Bluetooth paired devices and it's gone. I have NO problem with my Aria

Who cares @BugsMom425 the phones Bluetooth doesn't have to see or have the tracker show as a trusted device for the app to sync the tracker. One of the steps in troubleshooting is to remove the tracker from the Bluetooth.

May I ask what phone you have?

Have you checked the Help Docs

As for the Aria it syncs through your home router, not the phone.

Really? Because the app doesn't update my stats. It doesn't matter. I'm
returning it. I've had different fitbits and different phones and ALWAYS
the same problem. I'm not fighting with it anymore. There are too many
options out there

That's because the tracker is not syncing. Without knowing anything about the phone prohibits me from helping out more.
