I have the Fitbit alta HR. I notice that when I put it on that there are calories automatically logged for the a.m. For ex there where 609 calories logged and I just put it on this morning. Do I have to reset my acct in order to make sure my calories start at 0 when I put it on?

Those are your BMR (basal metabolic rate) calories that you are always burning just by being alive.  Fitbit credits those even when you are not wearing the tracker.  It figures you burned 609 calories by the time you put it on.  If it started at 0, you would be losing out on that calorie burn.

See How does my Fitbit device calculate calories burned?

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
