I have some problems with sleeping at night because I accidentally fall asleep during the day which messes up my circadian rhythm. I am looking into buying a fitbit to better manage my sleep, I was wondering if there was a way to set an alarm so that the fitbit can wake me up if I accidentally fall asleep during the day?

Hello and welcome to the forums @sethwojo
The silent alarm on the Fitbit can help as a reminder for many things, but there is no way it knows you're falling asleep. The Fitbit can help you see your sleep patterns, but it's not going to keep you awake. Have you checked with your health care professional about this?

Yes, but I'd much rather use a fibit than prescription medication. What are the features for programmable alarms? Fitbit can detect sleeping well enough for me to give it a try, but if it can only record my sleep patterns then it is almost useless for my needs.

@sethwojoyou can set up to eight alarms per day. There is the hourly step reminder, which prompts you if you haven't walked 250 steps that hour, too. It depends on how deeply you go to sleep. The silent alarm will vibrate and for me, it's more than enough to wake me up. Experiment with it and see how that works for you.
Some allergy medication, such as Benedryl, helps a person fall asleep. Is that something you can take?
