How do I change the time on my fitbit and the correct date?

You can't manually set the date or time, but they should reset whenever it syncs to your phone or computer based on the time on that device. Does your fitbit seem to be syncing ok? Has it been through the initial setup ok?

 

The other thing that affects the time is the time zone in your profile. You can check yours at https://www.fitbit.com/settings/profile If you do change it then you'll need to sync again to update your fitbit.

How do I do the initial set-up? I'm new at using this device and it confuses me. I got it as a gift from my daughter and she did the set-up in December of 2019. I was using it for awhile, but misplaced the watch and didn't charge it for that time and recently found it and charged it. That's when I noticed the time/date and not syncing with my android.

Thank you for the time zone suggestion. I did make sure it was on the correct one. I'm actually using my desktop to look into this. 

Also, should there be a confirmation received once the device does sync with my phone?

The set up only needs to be done once, so as your daughter went through that in December then it shouldn't be needed again.

 

So, it sounds like the problem is that your fitbit is not syncing, which is a common issue. 

 

Did your daughter set up the fitbit on your desktop or your phone? If it was the phone then try these steps:

 

When you open the fitbit app on your phone and select your device (just below your profile image), the next screen should say when it last synced.
