Both my children have a Fitbit Inspire each (the first version). They didn't use them for months and when they decided to go back to them, we charged both but they weren't syncing. Can't even use as a watch as date and time are note correct.
I've tried every troubleshooting suggestion I found online. I charged and restarted the devices, turned bluetooth off and back on, uninstalled and reinstalled the app both on their old iPads and my iPhone 11. Tried everything again weeks later. Nothing worked. They're not even interested in their Fitbits anymore but if they don't work I can't even give them to someone else.
They were both bought second hand Christmas 2019 and worked fine for several months before this started. The same issue occurs with both devices so I'm sure it's not a malfunction.
Is there anything else I could do to get them to work?

Hi @resg,
I would contact Support right away (link is at the bottom of the page) and ask for a Battery Test. If the Battery Test fails, then there is something wrong with the trackers. In that case, you will need to find out where they were originally purchased and see if they have a warranty (if purchased directly through Fitbit, I believe they have a 1 or 2 year warranty). Then contact the retailer and see if they would be willing to do an exchange.

No warranty I'm afraid as I won't be able to trace back where they came from.
I've just had a chat with Fitbit support and they couldn't help. Although I'm sure it's not a problem with my particular device as both of them stopped working at the same time and from what I could tell many people had the same problem.
Both devices going in the bin and definitely no new ones will be bought.
