Fitbit Inspire not tracking sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I purchased the Fitbit inspire and the first night it tracked my sleep but since then it has not. I have done a restart on the inspire and still it did not track my sleep. I’m disappointed that this is not working I have not had it even a week.  I think I’m going to return it for a full refund! Or maybe this one is defective and you can send me a replacement at no additional cost. Are their any other suggestions anyone has!

Hi, @Edsel1874 welcome to the community, sleep tracking depends on the HR being recorded, there are a couple of settings that you may have inadvertently changed. Touch the side button for about two seconds, you get "do not disturb", swipe up to the bottom where you can toggle between "on wrist" and "on clip" this needs to be set at "on wrist" as "on clip" turns the LED/sensor array off. Return to the clock screen, swipe down to and touch "settings", the third one down is "heart rate" which should be on. Briefly touch the side button twice to return to the clock screen. You should now have a flashing green LED on the back of your device. Provided you have at least three hours of undisturbed sleep during the night you should get graphs and a sleep score.

I hope this is helpful.

Cheers

I have the Inspire not the Inspire HR. Does that make a difference?

Hi, @Edsel1874, the Inspire and Inspire 2 are different, as you have just posted is it the Inspire 2 or the older Inspire?

Let me know, they are very different. If you have the Inspire 2 try my earlier advice.

Cheers

Hello,

I purchased a Fitbit Inspire and a Fitbit Inspire 2 with Heart Rate.  I'm very disappointed in both products.  When you spend this kind of money on something that is supposed to be good for you and it does not function properly is very frustrating.  I will be returning both products and never purchasing a product from Fitbit again.  I really to like them, however it is very frustrating when they do not function like you expect them too. I suggest you fix the flaws in each of the products.  My Fitbit Inspire would not track my sleep and the Fitbit inspire 2 the DND would not stop pooping up, I tried all the solutions I read about and when I would turn my wrist to see the time it would not display it unless I touched the sides.  Very disappointing!!!!!!!!

Hiya. I recently purchased an inspire but it didnt record my sleep. I had the setting on ‘on clip’ instead of ‘on wrist’. I changed it last night and its recorded!!  Hope this may help you  Just hold button, swipe down and make sure you can see ‘on wrist’ as it’s difficult to tell if its in or off.
