Very recently I’ve started noticing how my Fitbit starts with added extra steps reaching the 10,000’s. 9:00 in the morning and I’ve only just put it on and I’ve reached my 10,000 step goal already for the day despite not even taking a step. I noticed the other day that it was the same and I was up by 15,000 somehow. I definitely know I hadn’t walked that much and was confused but put it off as it being weird and hoping it would fix itself the next day, leading up to today. Please help! I know the problem isn’t stride length as I haven’t even walked with it on this morning

Was only on the pool table the other night when it reached 15,000. I know nothing vibrational at all was on it either. However last night I did leave it on a chair that had a fan on it! I’ll try placing it somewhere else tonight and see if it makes a difference! Thank you
Best AnswerIt’s 12am here and the steps I did today have rolled over. I tried resetting and it worked for about a minute before returning back to the steps I did today😕
Best AnswerIm not understanding you. It is 12am and steps rolled over. Your saying yesterday's steps are shown on today's date?
You restarted and it worked. The restart was successful? Not sure what worked since the next sentence says the steps went back to today. Which should be a very small amount of steps.
Best AnswerI restarted the device and my steps had reset with only a small amount of steps like you said. I then left it for a minute because I thought it had started to work. I then came back to it and it went back to saying that I’ve started with 12,000 steps which is what I ended the day with. Yesterday’s steps have rolled over on today’s date.
