Hi @Lizzie52  the Fitbit needs your arm swinging to get all the steps recognized. The Map My Walk is just using gps, right?

Stepping in the U.S.A. since September 2013. Android 14

Map My Walk likely uses your phone's accelerometer to determine steps, the Inspire 2 has it's own accelerometer for determining steps.

If your phone is in a tight pants/shorts pocket, it could be more accurate since it's moving with your legs while the Fitbit is moving with your arms.

If your phone is in a loose pocket or jacket pocket, the extra bouncing could be logging more steps than you're really taking.

I would suggest going for a short walk and mentally counting your steps and seeing which comes out more accurate.
