Hi, loving my Fitbit HR, but sometimes have to take it off for work & put it in my pocket with my phone. It somehow manages to record heart rate! How is tbis possible? The readings look credible & in line with my usual heart rate with moderate activity
Antone else found this?
Thanks!

I found with mine that if I placed it on a table face up with the straps holding the back about half an inch from the surface the HR lights would come on and it would record ghost HR. I think there is a proximity sensor that turns on the HR lights and it seems to record the reflections as HR. My solution was to swipe to options and turn off HR when I am going to put it in my pocket or in my luggage when travelling.

Thanks, that makes sense, it is probably reflecting off the phone, same happens on a glass table. Will try what you suggested.
