Hello Fitbit Community,
I recently bought a Fitbit Inspire 2 as I was looking for a wrist device to track my steps that didn't have all the other bells and whistles (calling, texting, etc.) and that wouldn't need to be charged more than once a week. For the past few months I have been getting 10K+ steps a day and have been extremely proud of myself! While walking with my sister this morning, we discovered that my step count was overestimating our steps quite a bit compared to her Fitbit Luxe. I tried the walking 100 steps as mentioned in other forums and found that my Fitbit calculated 112 steps, which could essentially lead to a 10% overestimation with 10K+ steps and an inaccurate capture of the number of steps I am actually getting each day.
I have tried all of the following solutions as well and am wondering what else I can do to make my step count more accurate and detect less arm movement before I return it.
-Ensured that I am wearing my Fitbit correctly with wearing it on my non dominant hand but having the settings set to dominant hand
-Ensured my height, weight and other personal data is accurate in app
-Calibrating my specific stride length
-Restarted the device
Any suggestions would be beyond appreciated! Thank you!
