Inspire 2 Reset

I need to reset my son's inspire and clear all the old data.  When I read the manual and watch videos online they all show a "Clear All Data" option under settings, but my son's options under settings are very different.  There is a reset but not a clear data option.  What do I do?

Note...when it is plugged in it will not leave the charging screen...

@SarahBlackwell , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message. 

Just to confirm the Fitbit model your son is using.

Does it have a color display or is it monochrome?
Does the charging cable have a button on it?

If the display is a colored one, then your son is using an Inspire 3. 
If so on the settings, you should see a sub menu Device Info  > Clear User Data.
