Inspire 2 discrepancy between steps and miles

Why is are the miles recorded by Fitbit and another exercise app so different. 10,000 steps on Fitbit will be 5 miles but the same amount of steps were 13 miles on another app.

"Another app"?  If you have another app that records 10,000 steps as 13 miles, I think you should be questioning that other app rather than Fitbit.

Actually I have this backward. It was Fitbit that had 15 miles with 12,000 steps in an hour-ish. this seems incorrect.
