My inspire 2 is not counting short distance steps; like walking in place or back and forth in my tiny kitchen. A lot of my steps are in short spurts, putting laundry away or cooking in the kitchen, etc. Example: yesterday I worked in my kitchen(moving around. Not standing in place) for over 30 minutes and it only counted 10 steps. Help?

@Betañia Welcome to our Fitbit Community. I totally understand how you feel about the steps tracking issue that your Inspire 2 has experienced. I would like to know if this started happening recently or if the issue has happened before.
In the meantime, restart your Inspire 2 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how accurate is your Fitbit device.
Finally, monitor your Inspire 2 during the next 24 hours and see if it provides accurate steps data.
See you later.

Just adding to what @JuanJoFitbit mentioned, is the battery fully charged? None of my devices will count all my steps unless they have a full charge.

Hey, I am having more issues with my fit bit, so I came to check on here again.
I never got a notice that you replied to me, not sure what happened, but I appreciate it.
But yes, I am still having the same issue with my fit bit. I started wearing it on my ankle due to the fact that my steps remain uncounted. I had this problem with my previous fit bit as well, but I thought it was just because it sat in a drawer for over a year before I used it. I wore that one on my ankle as well to catch steps.
Now I am trying to monitor my heart rate and excercise, which I mostly do in my house. If I put it on my wrist, it seems to get my heart rate ok. But it gets about half my steps.
I have tried testing/troubleshooting it many times, including manually counting how many steps I take from one end of my block to the other. I would expect some variation: 5 even 10 steps, but it is literally half or less. HOWEVER, if I wear it on my ankle, the steps more or less match up.
But now the I am trying to monitor both my heart and my steps, I am getting frustrated all over again.
I have checked my height and step distance as well, it should match up. Thank you
