Inspire 2 not tracking steps

My inspire 2 is not accurately tracking my steps on the dashboard it tracks correct daily steps but on the app/ challenges it can show a difference of anything up to 3000, steps. 
has anyone else experienced this?

Have you been looking at the fitbit.com dashboard?

This seems like a syncing problem. The fitbit.com dashboard cannot sync your steps. You should use the Fitbit app on your mobile device or on a computer.
