I recently started using an inspire 2 as a companion to a weight loss app and I’m consistently hitting over 10k steps a day. This isn’t inconceivable because I’m on my feet for most of my work day, but I’m noticing a pretty big discrepancy between what the Fitbit is counting and what the Apple health pedometer is counting. For instance, todays numbers were Fitbit: 13500 Apple: 8000. Now I imagine that some of this can be accounted for the fact that my phone isn’t in my pocket all day, but I’d say that it is at least 90% of the day and this is a pretty big discrepancy for that to be the cause. I also work with my hands, so my hands move a lot throughout the day. Could the Fitbit be picking this movement up as steps? Has anyone run into this problem? Is there any way to correct it? I admit that I don’t know a ton about how the little guy works. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Hi @r1icky6 You are right in thinking your manual work might affect a wrist worn tracker. Unfortunately there is really not a way around this except to try different devices to see which ounts most accurately. Unfortunately this will work out a bit expensively!
