I "upgraded" from an Alta HR to an Inspire2. The text size is absolute rubbish and the Alta was far easier to read. I can't wear reading glasses when cycling, as that would be dangerous.
Why couldn't they understand that some people may be a couple of decades older than the lycra-wearing testers they used when testing the product?
Although the LCD screen is not as large as the surrounding bezel, there is still clearly enough room to make text larger. But, according to the official word here, they're not planning anything.
I can't afford another tracker. This is next to useless, just using it for a timepiece now. Very disappointed.
Writing this in the hope to warn others.

Unfortunately I’m in the same boat.
Was hoping I could track my heart rate real time, as I’m running and cycling and using my heart rate as the key gauge of intensity and exertion.
Getting to the heart rate requires 5 swipes and then the text is super small for my aging (age 57) eyes.
There are things I like about the Inspire 2 but this is a deal-breaker for me.
Is there a way I can see real time heart rate on my phone from the Fitbit app where it’s legible?
if not, I guess I’ll just buy a Polar chest strap monitor, as I watched a video where they did just that, tracking real-time heart rate.
This is a key feature for many of us.

Same for me. I loved my Alta and then Alta HR but the HR was no longer holding a charge so it was time to replace. I'd have happily bought another Alta but they were no longer available so I bought the Inspire 2 as it was also small and slim for my small wrist. While I've been able to install a slightly more readable clock face, I simply can't read any of the other screens without my specs. This is SO frustrating and definitely a big design issue. I loved being able to choose the orientation for the screen on the Alta and I never needed my specs to read the different stats on either of my Altas or my original Charge. Very disappointed and like others, I can't afford to just go out and buy a different tracker plus I dont like wearing those big chunky smart watches.
