Inspire HR Noncompatibility

I just got off the phone with customer service about my new fitbit inspire HR. It is not syncing, it it not allowing me to press the watch heart screen for any detail, it is not keeping a watch feature like steps on for more than seconds, and the reason I thought this was going to be a better fitbit for me was the 24/7 heart monitor and the sleep monitor.

I am told that my Samsung Galaxy J7 phone is not fully "compatible" with this fitbit. There should be a way of noting this for customers--that some phones are not compatible with various fitbits.

This is the second fitbit I have had, the first one broke not long after the warranty was out and I have delayed getting another one but thought maybe the problems from the first one had been worked out.

VERY disappointed and as a friend said, it is an expensive step tracker. I wanted to be able to use these other features. Gave it a second try but am still not seeing the value and that there are so many variables to jump over if you are not an apple client. Terrible value for the money and this is the last try for a fitbit for me.

Fitbits do work with most Android phones running at least Android 7.0.

However, most have not been fully tested to verify fully compatible.  I have a phone that is not certified compatible but it works fine.

As for pressing the watch heart screen for more detail, it is not supposed to do that.  That is for on the phone app, where you tap the heart rate tile for more detail.  That is true for most of the phone app tiles.

Length of display on - yes it is short for all users - nothing to do with your phone.

I have no idea what variables you think you have to jump over, or what would be easier for an Apple client.

Syncing - that is sometimes an issue with all phones.  Sometimes have to try a few times, or if have all-day sync turned on, can just it sync itself.  What helps me sometimes is to turn phone's bluetooth off and back on.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thank you. The biggest issue is that there are repeated directions to me
that "sometimes it works" and "sometimes it does not." And I was told that
my phone may not be compatible. So it would be nice to know ahead of time
if it is, or isn't.

I was also told that I should try and make the band tighter. It is already
tight and tighter should not be an issue. I was also told that my fitbit
shows it was syncing 10 times a day. But no data showed up for over 24
hours, including my sleep cycle which is one of my top tracking
preferences. Because it seems like a few friends with apple phones do not
have trouble with syncing, and that in my previous fitbit watch experience,
they reminded you to re-boot and then when it doesn't sync again in a few
days, re-boot again, I take that to mean that there is an issue with
Androids that there might NOT be with apple phones. Thanks again.
