New to Fitbit inspire. Thought it is supposed to recognize exercise, and last week it seemed to, at least it recognized a couple hours of raking leaves to be 19 minutes swimming plus a long walk.
today I wore it while refereeing youth ice hockey. It seemed to count steps, and heart rate monitor knew I was elevated to 90-110 range. But when I checked phone app later, it only shows as steps, and didn’t even recognize 3 hours of ice skating as exercise in the daily exercise tab.
do I have to manually tell it I’m about to exercise (which seems like a pain) even though it seens to auto recognize some exercise?

Hi @J.h.pushee The Inspire HR will recognise some exercises by Smart Track - mostly stepp based ones like ru , walk hike, elliptical, but also bike and swim. However it wont recognise all activities. Raking leaves, hocky etc may come up as Sport, but they may not. The beautyof the I spire HR is that you can use the exercise shortcuts to start amd stop an activity, and although it seems a pain to remember at first, once you get used to it you remember easily (well I do anyway). If there is not a shortcut for the activity you are doing then use Workout and change the name in the app afterwards to something similar.
