Inspire HR won't charge after getting wet

Hi, my Inspire HR has died after getting wet. I have never put my HR in water, even though it is advertised as waterproof. So this was the first time it had been for a dip. I did let it dry for 48 hours, but since then it has failed to charge or fire up. I have gone through all of the troubleshooting, to no avail.

We've been through a lot together, and and there's still a dint on my wrist where it needs to be ☺️

Has anyone had any success in resuscitating their Fitbit HR

I use a charge 2, which I think is considered fairly obsolete these days.  I don't think I've gotten it more than slightly wet.  It has continued working OK, even though the detailed sleep mechanism died long ago.  Good luck and maybe try a charge 3 or charge 4.  (I'm always forgetting and getting my hearing aids slightly wet, but no problem yet.  I know, more than you cared to know.)

I'm tempted to upgrade, but until now my charge 2 has worked perfectly......if gazing lovingly (or repeatedly pressing the re boot button) isn't going to work I'll check out the 3 or 4. And ignore the 'swim' claim.....

Thank you for your reply.  Fitbit apparently chooses to call me "Recovery Runner," but I have no idea why.  But, I'm certainly not "Jogger."

Mine died after getting wet as well. I tried all of the trouble shooting and nothing worked. Customer Support says my warranty has expired so I need to purchase another. Very upsetting since it's supposed to be waterproof.
