Inspire HR won't update

Have managed to connect but is asking to update software. Starts but then fails. Have tried several times and on both my phone and tablet. Can't access settings etc until it does the update. Very annoying. Have removed other tracker but still won't work. If it doesn't work tomorrow will return. Rubbish. This should not be a problem and why can't I ignore software update and still get functions

Hi there @jeffrey1928, thanks for stopping by and for already troubleshooting your Inspire HR. 

 

Besides the steps you've done, I'd recommend taking a look at the help article: Why can't I update my Fitbit device? 

 

Last but not least, I was wondering if the mobile device you're syncing with is included in our list of supported devices? You can see the list at: Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

 

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

Hi,I'm jumping on this thread because I have a brand new Inspire HR and am having trouble getting it set up. I have been trying to update the tracker software for hours and it starts, then suddenly stops. It seems like until I can do this, I can't use the fitbit because it just shows the set up screen.

My phone is an Honor 6X so it is on the list of supported devices. I previously had a flex that was connected to the same phone.
